Join St Hugh’s College and Women in the Humanities for an event marking a century since the passage of the Representation of the People Act, which enfranchised many women over the age of 30.

The College is hosting a roundtable discussion event in Mordan Hall on 6 February 2018 to celebrate the centenary of this crucial milestone in the development of British democracy, with a panel discussion led by accomplished alumnae from each of Oxford’s former women’s colleges. The panel will include:

  • Dame Helen Ghosh DCB
  • Shirley Williams
  • Jo Delahunty QC
  • Sheila Forbes CBE

The event will began at 18:00, allowing an hour and a half for discussion and for an audience Q and A. The theme of the discussion will be One Hundred Years of Women’s Suffrage: Where to Next?

Following the roundtable discussion there will be a drinks reception.

Speaker details to follow. The event is free to attend, but you do need to register a place.
